Systems for a creative business.

This track is about how work is scoped, handed off, and recorded. It is not a software certificate, not an accounting credential, and not a claim that a method is licensed.

  • How a creative business names the work before it starts.
  • Scope written so it matches the job, not a larger promise.
  • Handoffs between people: what moves, what stays, what is refused.
  • Money as a record of what was agreed. Not tax advice and not legal advice.

Adults 21 and older for commercial desk work. Interest goes on the waitlist, which opens a short Google Form in a new tab. What you send there goes to the Perlas University desk. Joining does not enroll you or hold a seat.

Research Courses (free).

Perlas University is not an accredited university. Courses are non-credit and non-degree. People who complete a free research course may receive a certificate of completion issued by Perlas University. It records what they finished. It is not academic credit, a degree, a diploma, a license or an accredited credential. Operator outlines do not issue certificates. Your research deliverable can also be published as a public portfolio entry. No course is priced like a university course.

Free to take. Lab kits are optional and sold or lent at cost (estimated costs are on each course, from Perlas Foundation research seen Oct 4, 2026; prices change). Optional pay-what-you-can support goes to the Perlas Foundation (no charitable status claimed; not tax-deductible). Scholarships for kits are based on need, merit, portfolio and service, never on photos or looks.

6 to 8 weeks, one 90-minute session a week (online or at a partner makerspace), plus one hands-on build. Students work in pairs. Every course ends with a student research deliverable that feeds the Perlas Foundation’s public research (with the student credited by name if they wish).

All course content draws on the Perlas Foundation R17 and R18 research docs (“Why the Longest Institutions Fail or Survive,” “Rebuild Ancient Tech: Materials & Sources,” “R18 Civilization Rebuild: Save Points from Stick to AI,” “Tesla: Facts, Myths, and What You Can Build”).
